I'm a visual artist from Melbourne, Australia. My work uses irony, parody and autobiographical storytelling to demonstrate my judgmental nature and begrudging complicity in late capitalist society.Through my work I'm interested in subverting, scrutinizing and blurring the boundaries between the binary oppositions that shape critical and cultural discourse within art. I have particular interest in exploring the liminal space between polarising social constructions like class, generational divides and contemporary cultural identity.
I lived and worked in the United States of America for three years in my early twenties and feel that the experience helped to cultivate my misanthropic worldview. I've worked as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, film set decorator and briefly as a tattoo artist.
I completed a Master of Fine Art (with Distinction) at RMIT University, Melbourne in 2015 and a Bachelor of Art (Art/Design and Cultural Studies) at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland in 2008.
